Built for every family

In 2023, two friends and engineers, Jon and Josh, hit a wall. As new dads, they realised that the joy of the ride was being crushed by the logistics of life.

Traditional cargo bikes were bulky and expensive, while standard trailers felt like hard work. The school run and the weekly shop were becoming reasons to reach for car keys instead of bike helmets.

They knew there had to be a better way. But they needed a final piece of the puzzle to turn a great idea into a global commercial success.

Built for every family

Enter Tat, a seasoned business leader and a dog mum to her adventurous sidekick, Rollo. While Jon and Josh were focused on the challenges of the nursery run, Tat was facing the same urban barriers with Rollo.

Whether it was a trip to the beach or a cross-city commute, she saw that "family" didn't just mean kids. It meant anyone (and anything) you shouldn't have to leave behind.

Together, they realised their mission was bigger than just a trailer. It was about reclaiming the city.

They combined their expertise from Dyson, SharkNinja and Elvie with the mobility and automotive worlds to create CONVOY.

By merging world-class engineering with a deep understanding of modern, multi-generational (and multi-species!) families, they didn't just build a product; they built a bridge to a car-free life.

From toddlers in the morning to Rollo in the afternoon, CONVOY was born to ensure that your most important cargo always has a front-row seat to the adventure.

Jon O'Toole

Dyson, Elvie.

Jon is a product and business leader who believes that good enough is never enough. After years of developing award-winning high-performance tech at Dyson and Elvie, he became a dad and realised that the world of family mobility was stuck in the past. Jon's mission with CONVOY is to apply precision engineering to the daily school run, ensuring that safety and performance are never compromised for convenience.

Josh Richards

Background:

SharkNinja, JosephJoseph.

Josh has spent his career at the intersection of form and function. At SharkNinja, he was responsible for new category innovation. Always a passionate rider, as a new father, he found that most solutions were too bulky for real life. Josh leads CONVOY's design language, ensuring our trailers aren't just a tool, but a piece of world-class kit that you're proud to have on your bike.

Tat Escobar-Peake

Background:

Scaling global brands.

Tat joined Jon and Josh to turn a brilliant invention into a global success. While the guys were perfecting the engineering, Tat was building the roadmap for how CONVOY reaches the world. As our commercial strategist, she is responsible for our GTM execution, partnerships and digital presence. A dedicated pet mum to her sidekick Rollo, she ensures CONVOY serves the modern, diverse family: whether that precious cargo is a toddler or a terrier.
